Kingship tussle: Gunmen invade town, shoot residents

Kingship tussle in Ogbaagaa town,  Ayedaade Local Government Area of Osun State, on Wednesday, took a violent dimension, as gunmen stormed the town, shooting indiscriminately, thus injuring some residents.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that many of  Ogbaagaa residents were gripped with fear, when the unidentified gunmen unleashed terror, just as the controversy surrounding the ascension to the throne of the paramount ruler of the town degenerated.
One of those hit by the bullets, Mr Seyi Sangogboye, is currently receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife.
The development, which had been reported to the Gbongan divisional police station by one of the contenders for the kingship position, Chief Oyelowo Oladeji, was been investigated though no arrest had been made.
Oladeji, who allegedly accused his opponent, Chief Ajani Amusan of masterminding the attack, as he said Ekanade tried to impose himself on the people as their ruler, which they vehemently rejected.
However, in his reaction, Ekanade denied the allegation, lamenting that he had been living in exile since 2006 and could not have sponsored gunmen to invade the town.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Folasade Odoro, confirmed the incident, saying that investigation had begun and anyone found culpable would face the wrath of the law.

Are you sincere with your write-up? Oba Ekanade Amusan was definitely NOT interviewed by you, rather you engaged in one sided story. The antics of the story sponsor has been an empty cry out, when his sensitized mayhem failed. Goodluck to your cheap work
