Man accused of defiling daughter remanded in prison
A 62-year-old man, Alabi Ibrahim, who was alleged to have defiled his 10-year old stepdaughter, was on Monday arraigned before a Magistrates’ Court in Isabo, Abeokuta.
The suspect appeared before Magistrate M.O.Olayinka in the case between him and the Ogun State Commissioner of Police with charge number MA/918c/2012.
In a one -count charge read to him, Ibrahim was said to have committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 218 of the Criminal Code laws of Ogun State of Nigeria, 2006.
It will be recalled that suspect was arrested for allegedly having unlawful carnal knowledge of his stepdaughter, Oluwadamilola Ayoola, at Rounder, Soyoye area of Abeokuta, last September.
Magistrate Olayinka, however, adjourned hearing till November 29 and ordered that the suspect be remanded in prison custody.
