Mechanic disappears after wife delivers triplet

The family of a 33-year-old mechanic, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, is not celebrating even though his wife has just been delivered of all female triplets. Mr. Yemi Oyeniyi had left home without trace early this year shortly after the scan revealed that his wife was carrying a set of triplets. Daily Sun gathered that the couple before the new set of babies had two children.
Esther Oyeniyi, 27, a nursery school teacher said the sudden disappearance of her husband was unexpected and she had to relocate to a church in the state capital when things became unbearable for her and her kids. “I have no choice than to relocate to a church, the Sacred Order of Cherubum and Seraphim Church at Okeyidi in Abeokuta where I have been residing and from where I was brought to the State Hospital, Abeokuta for admission on October 19.
And to God be the glory, I put to bed on October 29.” Asked what efforts she had made to get in touch with her husband, she said: “I have tried my efforts to get in touch with him, but all to no avail. I have also tried him on his mobile phone which remained inaccessible since.’’ Esther, who teaches at Bello Nursery and Primary School, Mokola area of the state capital told journalists that her husband’s family resides in Iganna, Oyo State.

During the naming ceremony on Monday, Daily Sun learnt that none of the husband’s family members was in attendance. The mother of the triplets, who expressed joy and surprise at what God had done for her appealed to her husband to return home. “We have joy to thank God for His abundant gift. He alone knows why He has to bless us more with this set of children. We must thank God in all things,’’ she said.
