Suntai Recovering Fast, To Be Back Soon - Commissioner

The Taraba State Governor, DanbabaSuntai who is receiving medical attention in Germany is recovering fast, his commissioner of Information, Emmanuel Bello said yesterday.
Suntai was involved in a self-flown Cessna Airfraft whichcrashed in Adamawa recently  and was flown to a hospital in Germany for treatment.
Bello said yesterday during a visit to the headquarters of LEADESRHIP newspapers in Abuja that the latest information from Germany was that Suntaiwill soon be discharged following his positive response to medical attention.
According to him, Suntai now discusses actively with friends and visitors, adding that the Taraba State government and members of the family of the governor were upbeat on the governors’ positive recovery and are awaiting his return.
He said that the governor has no spinal cord injury as is being speculated in some quarters, adding that he only had bruises on his face and parts of his body, and that he has returned to normalcy and doing well.
Bello also praised the performance of the acting governor, AlhGarba Umar who he said has done wonderfully well in driving the ship of state in line with the policy thrust of the Suntai. This, he said, showed clearly that Suntai and Umar were on the same page in driving Taraba State forward.
He said also that the conduct of the acting governor on the Ibi crisis and the flooding in parts of the state were commendable. “Taraba is run well and on a sound note by the acting governor,” Bello said.
He said also that Taraba State is proud of members of the state assembly for their political sagacity in enthroning the acting governor to prevent any loophole that could undermine the progress already achieved. He described the action of the lawmakers as “politically sagacious”.
