How PDP Can Win Lagos – Obasanjo

Former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has said that the surest way for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to win elections in Lagos State is for the party leaders in the State to bury their individual ego and remain united.
The former President said this, yesterday, when the PDP executives in Lagos state paid him a courtesy visit at his Hilltop residence in Abeokuta, Ogun state.
Obasanjo asserted that in order to make PDP the ruling party in Lagos state, the leaders needs to sink their ego and sacrifice their individual interest for the general interest of the party.
He described PDP as a party in wilderness in Lagos state, and noted that leaders of the party needed to work together to build the party and restore it on the right path.
He expressed optimism that if the leaders and the members could be united, they would capture power from the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Lagos state
Obasanjo who blessed the leaders asked that God would soften their hearts to be so accommodating and grant them direction to reposition the party.
The former BOT Chairman appreciated the PDP leaders who commiserated with him on the recent fire incident in his house which he described as ‘minor’’.
He was full of gratitude to God for confining the fire to his Secretary’s office and preventing loss of life.
