Eight perish as trailer, car crash

A number of road accidents were recorded in the course of the week, one of which resulted in eight fatalities on the Ibadan-Lagos Expressway, last Sunday. The vehicles involved were a DAF trailer with registration number: XB 503 FKA and Mitsubishi Space Wagon (GGE 540 XC). Other incidents are as follows:
Two injured
Two persons were injured after a tanker crashed on Thursday on Ubulu-Uku-Ogwashi Road. The fuel-laden tanker later burned down.

Three injured
Three persons were injured in a crash that occurred on Thursday at Kobape, along Abeokuta- Sagamu Expressway. The vehicle involved was a Mercedes-Benz with registration number: CV 374 LSR.

One killed
One person died in a crash that occurred on Thursday at Ogunu bridge, along Warri-NPA Road. The vehicle involved was a truck marked: MUS 266 XA.
Nine injured
Nine persons were injured in an accident that occurred on Thursday, along Abakaliki-Enugu Road, involving a FORD-TRANSIT with registration number: APP 104 XD.

One killed, five injured
A Golf car marked: JJJ 457 AU was involved in a crash on Wednesday, at kwaita, after Abaji, leaving one person dead and five others injured. The car was coming from idah, Kogi State when the incident happened.
Three killed, three others injured
Three fatalities were recorded in an accident that occurred on Wednesday at Unguwar Mailafia, along Hawan-Kibo Road. Three other persons were injured in the crash that involved a Toyota Carina with registration number: AE 81 NSW PGT.
Two killed
Two persons were killed in a crash that occurred on Wednesday at Ugoneki, along Benin-Agbor Road. The vehicle involved was a Nissan Pathfinder jeep marked: BK 289 RSH.

Two injured
Two persons were injured in an accident on Wednesday along Jalingo-Yola Road. A Toyota with registration number: XA 143 GAS and a Bajaj tricycle (PT 157) were involved.

Four injured
Four persons were injured in a crash that occurred on Wednesday at Km 8, Wulko, Lafia Road. The vehicle involved was a Peugeot (J5 XC 209 IF).

One killed
A person died while six others sustained injuries in an accident at Amarawa village, along Wudil-Mai Road. The vehicle involved was marked: NGU 13 XM.

Two injured
Two persons were injured in a crash that involved a Volkswagen bus with registration number: SMK 939 XA and a Renault Logan MCV with registration number: EZ 621 KRD. The crash occurred on Tuesday at Sura junction, by Mechanic Village, along Sura-Obalande Road.

Three injured
Three persons were injured in a crash that involved a Peugeot 504 with registration number: AA 11 ABJ and a Honda Bullet with registration number: AG 196 FFA. The crash occurred on Tuesday in front of Federal Secretariat, Ilorin.

Three injured
Three persons were injured in a crash that occurred on Monday, along Ikom-Obubra Road, involving a Toyota Carina with registration number: AE 877 ABT.

One injured
A person was injured in a crash that occurred on Monday at Chiromawa, along Chiromawa-Kano Road, involving a Golf marked: AZ 880 MKA.

Fatality
A fatality was recorded, while another person was injured in a crash that occurred on Sunday, on Hawan-KIbo Road. The vehicle involved was Peugeot J5 with registration number: L 866 AFR.

Two persons were injured in a crash on Sunday, along Ilesa-Ife Road. The victims were travelling in company with two others, who were unhurt, in a Toyota Corolla with registration number: JJJ 460 AR.
