Police arrest 2 for killing cattle rearer in Niger

TWO suspected cattle thieves,  Abubakar Isah and Mohammed Isah, killed  a cattle rearer identified as Mallam Gombo, on Tuesday, after which they made away with 45 cows belonging to the deceased.

The suspect have, however, been arrested by the authorities of the state police command and they are currently at Bosso division of the state police command.

The deceased was said to have been grazing with his cows around the grassland of Bosso community when he was allegedly  attacked by the two suspected rustlers, who killed him and made away with his cows.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that the suspects later dumped his body at the entrance of a graveyard in the community .

It was further learnt  that the  lifeless body of Gombo was later found at Angwan Daji Muslims burial ground in Minna, where they had dumped him.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Pius Edorbo, confirmed the incident, adding that  the two suspects were in police custody, while the cows had been retrieved.
