Few days after the death of his dear
friend Singer Goldie Harvey, another tragedy befall popular TV presenter
Denrele Edun as armed robbers allegedly stormed his Yaba home yesterday.
It was gathered that the robbers
numbering about five in the early hours of Sunday, stormed the TV presenter’s
family house on Borno way Yaba, Lagos carting away phones and other valuables.
Denrele’s grandma who resides in the
house was almost strangled to death after her jewelries worth thousands of
naira were carted away by the suspected armed robbers.
Denrele who called for help through
his tweeter fan page said: “Cash, phones, laptops, watches, gadgets, and his Dad’s
new plasma screen were carted away.”
When Daily Newswatch contacted
the police spokes person Ngozi Braide in respect of the incident, she promised
to call the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Yaba and get back to the
journalist, but as at press time, she was yet to call.
