Six members of the same family between the ages of 8 and 92 killed in horrific collision with tractor-trailer

Six people were killed and two others injured in a fiery collision with a tractor-trailer on a Kentucky highway Saturday.
Minutes later, another collision at the same spot in the opposite direction injured three.
Master Trooper Norman Chaffins said the first wreck happened after 11am when an SUV carrying a large family from Wisconsin was rear-ended by a truck on northbound Interstate 65, about 56 miles south of Louisville.

The Ford Expedition burst into flames and was completely destroyed by the fire. Two children, ages 15 and 12, escaped unharmed.
Soon after, there was a collision in the southbound lanes involving another tractor-trailer and three other vehicles. State Police are investigating if rubbernecking for the first crash was involved.
Police said all occupants of the SUV were from Marion, Wisconsin. They were identified as James Gollnow, 62, and his wife Barbara, 62; Marion Champnise, 92; Sarina Gollnow, 18; Soledad Smith, 8; and Gabriel Zumiga, 10. Police said the two youngest victims were foster children.
The pair of survivors, a boy and a girl, were also foster kids. Police identified them as Hope Hoth, 15, and Aidian Ejnik, 12, The Courier-Journal reported.
