The
Inspector General of Police MD Abubakar has directed all police Field
Commanders, Special Units, Assistant Inspector General of police and
Commissioners of Police to harness all the resources available within their domain
to ensure that the reign of terror and lawlessness recently being experienced
in the country is brought to an end.
The Force Spokesman,
CSP Frank Mba, who confirmed the directive said it is coming based on the
recent killing of some policemen who were on duty in Nassarawa and Borno states.
Mba who added that the police
formation is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the perpetrators of the
act are brought to book said the incident has thrown up new and emerging threat
on the part of policing in the country.
He stated that the Nigeria Police
Force is however working in conjunction with all positive minded Nigerians, to
fish out and bring to book all those involved in the act and other similar
killing of law enforcement agents in the country.
