Mushin cult clash: Death toll rises to six



Three   more people were killed today (Monday), at the Mushin area of Lagos State, bringing the number of people killed since Thursday to six.
It was gathered that at other previous hostilities, many were people injured.
 The violence clash between cult groups grounded commercial activities, even forcing commercial drivers to follow another route, thus causing heavy traffic along Palmgrove/Oshodi routes.
The Monday clash is believed to be a sort of a reprisal attack to the weekend clash which began at a baby christening ceremony along Alhaji Ota Street, where three people were killed.
Eye witnesses claimed that sporadic gunshots rang out for hours along Post Office Street and Olosa area on Monday night as youths, armed to the teeth with guns and other dangerous weapon meandered through street, chasing after one another.
A resident of Olosa bus stop stated that the whole thing started on Monday evening as some gunmen, invaded the area and started attacking people, believed to be their opponents.
He continued that the gunmen, who were armed, shot and killed three people, while many others were severely injured.
It was also gathered that teams of mobile policemen were immediately drafted to the area to maintain peace.
