Police rescue two females from kidnappers

The police in Imo State on Friday rescued two female students of the state university from kidnappers who had demanded for a ransom of N150,000.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Joy Elemoko, in a statement in Owerri, the state capital, on Friday, said the command also arrested three of the suspected kidnappers.
According to him, two of the suspects are students of the same university while the third had graduated.
He said the command also arrested a 13-year-old primary school drop out for alleged breaking and entering.
“The suspect who picks metal scraps also volunteered information on other members of his gang,” he said.
Elemoko said the command recovered one 32-inch Samsung plasma television set, a Nokia telephone and a  wristwatch from the suspect.
