The Lagos
State Police Command is investigating a cult clash, where a heavily pregnant
lady and three brothers were killed at the Surulere area of the state.
It was gathered that the victims were killed in the fight, which erupted on Thursday night, spilling over to Friday morning.

The two cult
groups, later identified as Eiye and Aiye fraternities engaged in supremacy
clash at the Shitta area of Surulere, Lagos.
Residents of the area however worried that there might be a reprisal attack from any of the group.

In a swift
response to crisis, the state police command immediately sent teams of policemen
from the Rapid Response Squad. Policemen from Bode Thomas Police Station and
more men from Area ‘C’, Command were also on ground to forestall further
clashes.
Eye
witnesses accounts claimed that the two brothers might have been the targets of fight, but the pregnant woman who also lost
her life in the melee, was said to be a victim of circumstance, as she was
killed by a stray bullet, from one of the groups.
it also gathered that one of the brothers identified as Mufu and his elder brother were relaxing at a Bar , close to Shitta Primary School, when some youths, armed to the teeth , believed to be cult members, stormed the scene and opened fire.

Mufu and his
elder brother died on the spot, while the pregnant woman, who was close by,
during the time of the incident, died on the way to the hospital.
Police spokesperson, Ngozi Braide , confirmed the incident, adding that two people had been arrested in connection with the incident.
