19 hoodlums in police net over Ketu crisis

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Prince Umar Manko  said that  19 suspected hoodlums were arrested in Ketu for allegedly causing crisis at market place in the last three days.
Manko added that the suspects were fighting over sharing of money collected from Ketu and Ikosi markets.
According to him,  trouble started after a group felt they were supposed to have the lion share of the collections, adding that the other group objected to the opposition demands.
Manko said: “They were disrupting the commercial activities in the area, forcing shops and market traders to shut down their businesses. Dangerous weapons were freely used by the hoodlums. 19 of them have been arrested.
“We have concluded their investigation; they will be charge to court without delays. Normalcy has returned to the markets and area. We have posted some of our men at the markets.
``I have directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations to meet with the Divisional Police Officer, market leaders, with a view to stop the crisis.’’
