Teacher, 30, accused of abducting one of his pupils in court for trial

The prosecution has opened its case in the trial of a teacher accused of abducting one of his pupils.
Jeremy Forrest, 30, who taught at Bishop Bell C of E School in Eastbourne, East Sussex, denies abducting the girl, who cannot be named.
At Lewes Crown Court, a jury was sworn in before prosecutor Richard Barton opened the Crown's case, which cannot be reported at this stage for legal reasons.

Dressed in a suit, a lilac shirt and a patterned tie, Forrest walked into the dock and waved at relatives sitting in the public gallery including his parents, Jim and Julie.
The trial, in front of Judge Michael Lawson QC, is due to last two weeks.
Forrest, of Chislehurst Road, Petts Wood, south-east London, is in custody.
The case was adjourned to 1pm today.
