Gunmen kill 41 in Zamfara

Bandits have killed about 41 people at Birane village in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State. A yet-to-be-identified lady has disappeared after drugging a rider and stealing his tricycle at Mowe in Ofada Mokolokin Local Council Development Area of Ogun State.
The lady was said to have drugged the tricycle rider, identified simply as Amos by lacing his yoghurt and pepper soup with sleeping pills.
The incident occurred on Friday on Owode-Ofada Road, after the lady approached Amos at their park, close to Mowe bus stop and asked him to take her to a house agent office in the area.

Herbalist held for preparing charms for robbers

Detectives attached to Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos, have arrested a herbalist for allegedly preparing charms for armed robbers. The herbalist, Sunday Ogunleye (49), and his 27-year-old assistant, Azeez Muta, were arrested at Orile Agege area of the state on Tuesday last week.
The suspects were arrested based on a confessional statement made by a suspected armed robber that it was the herbalist who used to prepare charms for his gang before going on operations. After preparing the charms, the herbalist would send his cousin, identified simply as Bukola, to them to the robbers at their hideout.

Miss Vivian is just 24 years old, but she is already one of the thousands, if not millions of Nigerians who have been banned for life from setting foot on the American soil.
As a trained Accountant, Vivian could have got a choice job in Nigeria, but she claimed to have been convinced by her uncle, identified simply as Ugochukwu, to attempt to travel to the US. The idea was to travel to the US, get a million dollar job and money would start rolling in; but the plan was not as easy as it sounded.
When Vivian got to the US Embassy, the eagle-eyed white men discovered that all her documents were fake. She had a fake United Bank of Africa (UBA) identity card; she claimed to be a worker

A 12-year-old girl, Faith Nwanja, has told officials of the Ebonyi State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development how she was subjected to inhuman treatment by her mistress, Mrs. Nkechi Bartholomew.
The girl, who hails from Okoffia community in Ezza South Local Government Area, was tortured, mutilated and abandoned by Bartholomew for being too stubborn.
Bartholomew, a childless woman and seamstress adopted Nwanja and took her to Onitsha, Anambra State, when she was eight years old.
But Bartholomew allegedly disfigured the girl.

Fake visas: Italian Embassy detects over 1185 Nigerian applicants

The Police Special Fraud Unit (SFU), Ikoyi, Lagos State, has expressed worry over the unrelenting attitude of Nigerians to patronize visa vendors, which end up packaging them with fake travelling documents.
This was even as SFU disclosed that it has received over 1185 applicants with fake documents from Italian Embassy, with many of them being charged to courts.
