THE Nigerian Navy has raised the alarm over fake recruitment agencies parading as agencies under the directive of the Navy.
This is just as it cautioned members of the public to be wary of the
activities of the fake syndicates, which specialised in extorting money
from intending recruits who had applied to join the Nigerian Navy.
The Director of Navy Information, Commodore Kabir Aliyu, warned
members of the public to desist from patronising any syndicate, as the
navy had its way of conducting its recruitment exercise.
He regretted that some fraudulent Nigerians has taken advantage on the situation in the country to defraud innocent Nigerians.
According to him, the existence of such syndicates claiming to be
carrying out recruitment exercise on behalf of the Navy was illegal and
had no mandate of the Nigerian Navy.
