Second term belongs to God – Ajimobi

Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi

Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has advised members of the Action Congress of Nigeria and other political associates not to dissipate their energy on his second term in office.
He noted that his second term bid would be determined by God and the people of the state.
The governor, who stated this on Friday while declaring open a  retreat for political office-holders and community leaders in the state, said his returning to power after his first term would be a function of his achievements in office.
He said his focus at present was how to make the best for the people, urging other political office-holders to concentrate on spreading dividends of democracy to the people.
Ajimobi said  the achievements of ACN-led states would give them an edge over other political parties to rule for more years and spread to other parts of the country.
On the urban renewal programme of his administration, he said the programme was aimed at securing better future for the coming generation in terms of a well-planned and serene environment.
He expressed the hope that the retreat would empower the participants to be good ambassadors of the party and the government which emphasised paying attention to the well-being of the people.
