The Anambra State Police Command has
launched a search for the parents of 12-year-old Gabriel Tehrile, believed to
be a victim of human trafficking.
According to the Anambra State Police
Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Haruna Mohammed, on May, 22, Tehrile, from
Egbeji Zakibiam in Benue State, was brought to Nnobi Police Station, Idemili
South Local Government Area by a Good Samaritan.
Mohammed said: “Preliminary investigation revealed that the child was brought from Benue State to Anambra by his traffickers last week, but the boy ran away from the supposed guardian and all efforts to contact his relations proved difficult. In view of the foregoing, we urge well-meaning Nigerians to kindly disseminate this message to enable the biological parents or close relatives of the child identify him.”

Divisional Police Station or contact PPRO Anambra State Police Command through
