Police are appealing for witnesses following a rape incident

likely witnesses

Detectives investigating an alleged rape are releasing CCTV images of potential witnesses outside an Uxbridge nightclub in a bid to encourage them to come forward.
It is understood that on 2 September, the victim, who is female and in her 30's, had been at Liquid & Envy nightclub, High Street, Uxbridge, when at 03:30hrs, she spent a short time outside the venue talking to a group of people depicted in the CCTV images. The victim then got into a car with two men and was driven to a location where she was subsequently raped.
Detective Constable Leanne Alleyne, of the Hillingdon and Hounslow Sapphire Command, said:
"Whilst we continue to investigate this incident, it has become apparent that there are a number of witnesses, who may be from west London or surrounding counties, who have not yet come forward.
"It is vital we speak to them so that we have a clear understanding of what happened that night. It is possible that they may not have realised what was about to take place, and I would encourage them to come forward. I would like to reassure any potential witness they will be spoken to in the strictest of confidence. "
If you recognise any of these individuals or have any information that may assist the investigation, please contact the incident room on 020 8721 3998; or if you wish to remain anonymous phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
No arrests have been made, enquiries continue.
