THE peace in one of the criminal courts in the Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja was disrupted on Monday when a 26 –year old man, Isah Shehu, sentenced to 21 years imprisonment, for being guilty of conspiracy and robbery, in a trance-like manner screamed lahila - ila lau repeatedly until he was bundled out of the court room by prison officials at the orders of the court.
Justice Lateefa Okunnu had sentenced Sheu to 21years imprisonment for conspiracy and robbery after being found guilty of robbing a man identified as Sunday Oluwole of his laptop and N40,000 cash in the lap top bag.
Shehu and others, now at large, were said to have committed the crime on October 20, 2010, at about 10p.m, along Adekunle Fajuyi way in Ikeja area of Lagos.
Shehu, who was alleged to be at the back of a motorcycle with which they used to rob the victim of his property, was said to have jumped down from the motorcycle and asked Oluwole, who was on his way home after closing from his office to give him his laptop but Oluwole refused.
