A
15-year-old girl has accused her father (68), of sexually violating her and two
of her friends at the Imota area of Lagos State.
This was
also as police detectives arrested Pastor Pope Paul for allegedly impregnating
a 15 year-old girl at Egan Igando area of the state.
According
to the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bala Elkana,
speaking on the case of the girl that accused her father of raping her and her
two friends, explained that the girl went to Imota Police Station on June 27,
to lodge a complaint of rape against her father.
The girl
allegedly insisted that her father had been having sexual intercourse with her
in the past three years. She further alleged that when her two friends, ages 15
and 16, came to stay in their house, her father also had sexual intercourse
with them.
She added
that the last incident occurred on June 23. The father, when arrested, admitted
to the crime.
In another
development, Elkana said that Pastor Pope Paul, has been arrested for allegedly
raping and impregnating a 15-year-old girl at Egan Igando area of the state.
Elkana
said: ‘On July 2, at about 3p.m. the mother of the victim reported the case at
Igando Police Station against the pastor. The victim’s mother alleged that
sometime in August, 2017, her daughter was brought to Lagos to live with the
pastor and his wife. The girl was discovered to be pregnant in June 2018. When
she was interrogated, she mentioned the name of the pastor as being responsible
for her pregnancy.
“The
victim, in her statement, said that the pastor had been having sex with her
since January, 2018. It was in the process she got pregnant and gave birth to a
baby girl in April. The suspect has been arrested and charged to court.”
Elkana
disclosed that in another case, Akin Olatilu, was arrested for allegedly raping
his 19-year-old step daughter. Elkana said that on June 14, at about 1p.m,
the victim, who is a 19-year-old lady, accused her step father of sexually
abusing her since when she was 14 years.
Elkana
said: “She said that when she couldn’t bear it anymore, she reported the matter
to her mother, but her mother did not take any action. She said that her step
father had been having sex with till she turned 18, in March. When she turned
down his demand in June, the man lied against her, forcing her mother to beat
her. It was it was because my mother beat me, that I was able to speak up about
the assault from step farther.”
Also, Aliyu
Mohammed was also caught at an uncompleted building, raping an under-aged girl
at Iba area on July 2, at about 12noon at Peace Estate. The matter was reported
at Iba Police Station. The suspect has been arrested and charged to court.
