Fear grips FUO as two students are murdered

Pauline Onyibe, Yenagoa
Fear has gripped students of the Federal University, Otuoke Community, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, following the mysterious death of two undergraduates by unknown persons.

The two students were killed and their corpses dumped inside the university.
One of the victims, Edwin Tochi Eze aka Tochiba, was a 100Level student of Mathematics Education Department. Tochiba recently won the Mr. Education Contest for Male category.
He was found dead with multiple machete cuts inflicted on his body and then dumped along a street close to his hostel.
The other victim, Chimzi Ejekwu Lloyd aka Chimzi, was found dead in a bush with a gunshot wound on his chest.
It was gathered that a close friend to Tochiba, known as Sammy Majestic, on Monday declared him missing.
Sammy said:  “We were together yesterday evening doing our normal jokes and play, when he ran out of the house and did not come back. We were very worried and have contacted his friends and family. We even called his phone, but it was switched off.”
One of the students, expressing his views on FUO Campus gist Facebook page, said: “I am tired of typing Rest in Peace (RIP). I’m tired of hearing ‘it didn't happen in Campus’ and tired of the fact that there are no hostels in FUO. I'm fed up with the fact that 95 percent of students live off campus yet security system is not present and our management seems not to care.”
According to security sources, the killings might be due to a silent cult war going on in the area. The case has however been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) in the state.
The Vice Chancellor of the school, Professor Seth Accra Jaja, when contacted on the matter via text message, responded that he was in Abuja on official duty. He urged the correspondent to contact the Deputy Vice Chancellor. Attempts, however, made to reach the DVC, proved abortive.
