Children abducted by housemaid found seven days after

Busayo
Two siblings, a six-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl, abducted by their housemaid simply identified as Busayo at the Gbagada Phase 2, area of Lagos, have been found seven days after.

Busayo was alleged to have abducted the children, belonging to Mr and Mrs Aneru Mutana, on November 26.
The children were found yesterday at a location close to Nigeria/Seme border in Benin Republic.
How the children got to that location is yet unclear, but the police had since launched a man-hunt for Busayo.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Chike Oti, who confirmed the incident, noted that Busayo, on November 26, was instructed by Mrs Mutana, to go and pick the children from school and take them home as she (Mrs Mutana) wasn't able to do so due to the nature of her job.
Mrs Mutana was unaware that the Busayo had carefully planned how to abduct the children.
Oti disclosed: “Unfortunately for the Madam, the housemaid had carefully planned how to kidnap the children, a six-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl. And she executed her wicked plan effortlessly because she is known to the school authorities and familiar with the children. Investigation so far revealed that Busayo is a member of a kidnap syndicate. She used to infiltrate homes of unsuspecting parents, posing as a housemaid. Once she lands the job, she would worm her way into the children's heart and wins the trust of her employers. Once she gets to this stage, she then bares her fangs.”
“The Command reasonably believes that Busayo may not be her real name. However, it wishes that Nigerians should take cognizance of her face and alert the nearest police formation of her location and if possible arrest and hand her over to the police,” stated Oti.
Oti explained that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi has warned parents interested in engaging the services of domestic servants, to beware of whoever they are dealing with.
Oti said: “The CP has reiterated his earlier warning that employers ought to carry out a background check of persons they are bringing into their homes. The CP also advised that such people should be profiled in order to make investigation easy for the police, should the need arise.”
