A popular pop artist, Temitope Adekunle, aka Small Doctor and his three of his cronies have been arrested for threatening to shoot a traffic police officer.

Small Doctor, who was arrested for unlawful possession of firearm, was also alleged to have threatened to shoot the policeman along Oshodi.
It will be recalled that Small Doctor had a criminal case pending. He had opened fire during his show, inflicting gunshot injuries on four fans.
Yesterday, the musician was said to be in the company of his three friends. It was further claimed that after issuing the threat, Small Doctor sped off.  The officer radioed one of the police patrol vans along the axis and they pursued the fleeing Small Doctor’s car.
According to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, the suspects were arrested at Oshodi area of Lagos after they had threatened to shoot traffic policemen.
Imohimi, who said that he was disappointed at the musician's conduct, knowing he had a case with the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti, Yaba, for shooting at his show in Agege where he allegedly injured four persons.
Imohimi said: “You would have thought the incident would have made him wiser, but surprisingly today, I got a situation report from traffic monitors at Oshodi expressway alleging that four unknown gunmen in green unregistered SUV threatened to shoot policemen. He brought out a weapon and threatened to shoot the policemen. Fortunately the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and other policemen at Shogunle intercepted the suspects and arrested them.
“When they were brought here, it was discovered that one of them was the same Adekunle Temitope aka Small Doctor with three others and they were arrested with a functional rifle, a cartridge and some personal items. I am concerned as one will expect that a popular musician like him would be a role model, but his character of ‘gangsterism’ is nothing to emulate.”

The CP further urged celebrities to stop involving themselves in issues of gangsters and conflicts, which do not portray them in good light.
Imohimi said: “You would recall that the Inspector General of Police, I-G Ibrahim Idris have a window period for submission of all firearms as all licences had been canceled and all approvals suspended. I have directed that the case be properly investigated and they will be charged for threatening violence on policemen and being in possession of forearm."
Small Doctor hailed from Ese Odo, Ilaje Ondo State and he received his elementary and secondary education at Ain’t Orosan and Oniwaya Secondary school respectively. He later went to the University of Lagos but don’t finish because of some personal issues.
Adekunle discovered his music talent when he was in secondary school and knew he had the instinct of composing good songs; he composed ‘E ma kanra mo mi’ in 2003.
