A 39-years-old man, Emmanuel Obiora Owoh, was arraigned at Ogba Magistrate Court, Lagos State, for stealing a 40 feet
container belonging to Chukwuemeka Eneje Martins, valued N10
million.
The accused allegedly stole the container loaded with foreign
made singlet from a warehouse at No 32 Dosumu Street, Idumota, Lagos Island.
The prosecutor, Sergeant Chukwusa Solomon, told the Court that
accused committed the crime on January 22nd at the given
address, which was a property of Martins.
Solomon noted that the crime is punishable under section 285(b)
of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge against
him. The
Magistrate, Judge Aje-Afunwa, granted bail to the accused in the sum of N100,
000 with two sureties in like sum.
The magistrate adjourned the case to April 16th, 2019, for
further hearing.
