Black Axe cult leader arrested in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested leader of the Black Axe cult group in Bariga, Adegboro Odunwole alias Gobe.

Odunwole, described as a vicious killer and notorious cultist, was arrested on Friday afternoon at Akilo Street, in Bariga.
The suspect was said to have been arrested after being on Police Wanted List for months over his alleged involvement in several violent deaths and clashes in Bariga area.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bala Elkana, a Deputy Superintendent (DSP), while confirming the arrest of the suspect, said he would soon be charged to court.
Elkana added that the command also arrested a suspected traffic robber, Emmanuel Daniel, (30) and recovered a locally made pistol with ammunition from him.
Elkana explained that Daniel was arrested on October 29, around 4:30pm at Ipaja while attempting to snatch a bag from a woman at Boys Town.
Elkana added: “Policemen at Bariga also arrested a suspected phone snatcher identified as Adewole Oluwatomi, (21), at about 7:30p.m On October 27. He was arrested  around Ifelodun Street. The suspect used a knife to snatch an Itel phone from 15-year-old Adeyemi Kayode inside Ebute Market. Police have recovered the stolen phone and knife. The suspect has confessed to the commission of the crime. He would be charged to court.”
