Kidnappers invade Turkish school

  • Abduct 3 students, 5 staff
  • No cause for alarm, Ogun Dep Gov
  • We’ll rescue them alive, says AIG






Palpable tension gripped parents and management of the Nigerian Turkish International Colleges (NTIC), Isheri, Ogun State following the abduction of eight students and staff of the school.

This came as security operatives, made up of police and the Nigeria Army, intensified manhunt for the suspects with a view to arresting them and rescuing the victims unhurt.
The victims were three students, including the daughter of the Deputy Managing Director of the Sun Newspapers, Mr. Steve Nwosu, a caterer and four other staff. They were kidnapped on Friday night at the premises of the school located at the boundary between Ogun and Lagos states. It was learnt that the kidnappers numbering about 20, who were fully armed, stormed the school premises around 9:30pm, breaking the fence.
They abducted the female students in their hostels along with the nonteaching staff. Our correspondents gathered that one of the female students who was coming out of her friend’s room, on sighting the kidnappers, shouted ‘thief’ which attracted the attention of one of the guards who later informed the mobile policemen attached to the school. “One of the mobile policemen immediately approached one of the kidnappers stationed at the female hostel.https://newtelegraphonline.com/news/kidnappers-invade-turkish-school/
