Taiwo Jimoh
Homicide detectives from Ogun State Police Command have arrested Mr. Taiwo Olatokunbo for allegedly killing a peace maker, identified as Christian.

Olatokunbo was said to have stabbed Christian to death after the latter allegedly tried to make peace between him and the beer parlour owner over N200 dispute, at Ijebu- Ode area of the state.
It was gathered that Christian was persuading Olatokunbo to pay for the beer he bought when an argument ensued.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi said that the suspect was arrested following a distress call, received by the Igbeba Divisional Police Officer, SP Onah Lawrence. The SP received the distress call from Temitope Adedayo, who runs a beer parlour at No 4 Ijagun Road, Ijebu Ode.
Adebayo, who reported the matter at about 3pm, explained that Olatokunbo came to buy a bottle of MORE beer worth of N200 from her beer parlour, but refused to pay.
When Christian noticed the altercation between Olatokunbo and Adebayo, he intervened, trying to make peace. He urged Olatokunbo to pay for his beer.
The intervention of Christian infuriated Olatokunbo, who allegedly grabbed a nearby bottle, smashed it and stabbed the victim at the joint of the right elbow.
Oyeyemi said: “Immediately the DPO received the report, he led his Anti -crime men to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested. The victim was also quickly rushed to a General Hospital at Ijebu-Ode for medical attention, but later gave up the ghost. The commissioner of police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for proper investigation and prosecution of the suspect.”
