Insecurity: Lawmakers, local govt chairmen to be sensitised in Kano

THE Kano State Police Command has resolved to provide security tips and sensitise members of the state House of Assembly as well as the chairmen of the 44 local government areas in the state to the need to be security conscious at all times.
In a statement signed by the state Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), Magaji Majiya, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP),  a copy of which was made available to Sunday Tribune, there was a need for the government functionaries in the state to be security conscious, in view of security challenges in the state.
It will be recalled that two lawmakers in the state House of Assembly were shot dead, recently, while the driver of a local government chairman in the state was also killed by unknown gunmen, recently.
According to the statement, security tips would be provided for the family members as well as important persons in the state to prevent them from being attacked by unscrupulous men.
