TWO yet-to-be-identified men, on Sunday, died in a well at Nipco fuel station on the Sango-Eleyele road, Ibadan.
The incident, according to an eyewitness, occurred around 8.00 a.m.
when one of the victims, who was said to be a bricklayer, got trapped in
a well he was assigned to repair.
About 30 minutes after he had drowned, no respite came until the
second victim, who was said to be his relative, came and decided to
rescue him by entering the well, but unfortunately died in the process.
An eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, explained that the second
victim got annoyed with people when he was advised not to go inside the
well.
Members of the Fire Service arrived later to evacuate the corpses
from the well and handed them over to the policemen who were around.
None of the family of the victims were around as of press time when the corpses were taken to Sango police station.
