TRADERS at the popular Mile 12 Market, on Ikorodu Road, in Lagos, on
Monday, woke up to count their losses, as shops at the market went up in
flames.
No fewer than 12 shops were burnt.
by the ravaging fire, which consumed property worth millions of naira.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that mostly affected were traders who sell food items and poultry products.
It
was gathered that the fire was eventually put out by fire fighters from
the Lagos State Fire and Emergency Services and some Hausa traders.
Meanwhile reconstruction work had evening commenced on the burnt shops.
When contacted, the image maker in charge of the state police command , Ngozi Braide, confirmed the incident.
