Angry robbers, write landlords in Ajegunle, Egbeda

*As police arrest more members of ‘one million one’ robbery gang

CP, Lagos, Umar Manko
Just days after 130 members of the ‘one million one’ robbery gang were arrested, the fleeing members have regrouped and concluded plans to launch attacks on residents of Ajegunle and its environs in Lagos State.
To buttress the point that they were dead serious on unleashing hell by robbing most of the residents, they had written letters, addressing them to different landlords, alerting them they should be expecting them soonest.
The planned operation is seen as a vendetta on residents because of their partners in crime who were recently arrested by police.
It is also gathered that another set of bandits wrote letters to landlords of Car Wash and Isheri area of Egbeda Idimu, Lagos State, informing that they should be prepared to be robbed until the year runs.
Area ‘E’ Commander, Festac, Mr. Dan Okoro told journalists today at the police headquarters Ikeja, that another set of ‘one million one,’ robbery gang, terrorizing Ajegunle and its environs had been arrested.
He added that the suspects were arrested in a joint operation between areas ‘E’ and ‘K’ Commands.
