Sambo commends State House security


Vice President, Arcitect Namadi Sambo yesterday lauded State House security for a good job well done and advised them not to rest on their oars.

Sambo gave the commendation during the decoration of four police officers attached to the Presidential Villa, with their new ranks.

The ceremony, which was witnessed by President Goodluck Jonathan, took place in the board room in the President's office.

The Vice-President, in his remarks, at the ceremony which he said was in recognition of their (policemen’s) good job, charged them to remain hardworking and dedicated to the service of their father land.

He also thanked the President for honouring the officers with his presence.

The officers were decorated by both the Vice President Sambo and the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Abubakar, in the presence of their spouses.

Those decorated include the ADC to First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, CSP Uche Ifeanyi, a graduate of Mass Communication from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu.

Since joining the Nigerian Police as ASP cadet in 2000, he was at different times, ADC to former Enugu State governor, Chimaroke Nnamani, unit Commander in 44 Diplomatic Protection Squadron, Squadron Provost, 2/ic  Commander and acting Commander of Diplomatic Squadron.

He was in charge of over 30 embassies, ambassadors and diplomatic communities in Abuja.
