Plane crash: Taraba governor flown to Germany

Taraba State Governor, Danbaba Danfulani Suntai, who sustained injuries in last Thursday’s air crash, has been flown to Germany for proper treatment. The governor’s private Cessna 208 5N-BMJ Jet, which he piloted, crash-landed in Yola, Adamawa state capital, leaving him with serious injuries.
The governor was on Friday taken to the National Hospital, Abuja, where Sunday Sun reliably gathered he was prepared for the longer journey to Germany for better treatment. Governor Suntai whose condition Sunday Sun learnt was becoming very critical, was yesterday flown to Germany amidst tight security. The ailing governor, who was in coma, was driven out of the hospital’s premises at 1.57 p.m.
He was driven to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, from where he was flown to an undisclosed hospital in Germany. No one was allowed by security operatives to go near the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where the governor was stretchered into the ambulance, or even approach the point they were to put him in the ambulance that conveyed him.
On his entourage were six other cars with registration numbers Abuja CZ 724 RBC; Abuja CU 184 RSH; FG AD82A01; NPF 45839 BMW and a Toyota Prado Jeep with registration number BS 677 RSH.
