The Area F Commander, ACP, Adagunduro Tunde, has ordered the immediate arrest of a police inspector, who was caught red handed, having sex with a female suspect.
While the police were still trying to come to terms with the shock of the discovery, another former female detainee had come to the area F, looking for another policeman.
She said she was pregnant. The conception took place when she was detained in the cell and the policeman she was looking for, started having sex with her, resulting in pregnancy after she left.
The Area Commander is said to be at his wit end and had further ordered special monitoring of female suspects in cells.
It was gathered that the inspector used to come to the office quite earlier than most of his colleagues, because that was the only time he could have to himself and any of the female suspect who interested before other policemen would come to the office. Apparently he had been doing it for long.
He was also alleged to do such, anytime he was on night duty.
Once he comes in the morning, he would go to the cell, check out the female suspects and select that interested him.
He would ask the suspect to come and sweep some of the offices upstairs. While she is sweeping, he would start asking her what led to her becoming a guest in the cell. He would ask her the name of her Investigating Police officer(IPO), with subtle promise of speaking with the IPO on her behalf. Then he would bring up the issue of sex and the grateful and desperate suspect would accept.
On the particular day he was caught red handed by the duty officer, the Inspector was on night duty.
The inspector had as usual, taken the female suspect to upstairs and was already having sex with her, when the duty officer, who was moving round from one of the rooms upstairs, went to investigate the noise and found the Inspector having sex with the female suspect.
The Inspector was said to have joined two long benches together, to make for a ‘comfortable bed’ and had laid the girl on the bench and started having sex with her.
