One Michael
Opaleye, a Computer science student of the University Of Lagos State, was on Thursday,
sentenced to 18 months imprisonment over internet fraud by an Ikeja High Court.
Opaleye was
jailed by justice Aishat Opesanwo for defrauding an American lady, Kathy
Lunford of 9, 200 US dollars under the pretence that he was going to marry her.
Justice Opesanwo
ordered Opaleye, to after his release from prison, pay N100, 000 monthly to the
victim through the EFCC until he refunds the total amount involved in the scam.
