A 27-year-old
mother of twins, Mrs. Sekinat Abdurazaq on Wednesday, flung herself into the
popular Osun River.
The woman,
who had just had twins 11 days ago, was said to have been properly minding the
babies until she decided to end her life.
It was
gathered that Sekinat offered alms to a group of beggars near the river, before
she jumped head long into the water.
The woman,
who was robed in hijab, said prayers before she took the plunge that ended her
life.
The reason
for her action is yet unknown as even her husband had insisted that there was
no quarrel between them.
