Why is FG not acting on the arrest of a top Boko Haram’s henchman in the home of a serving Senator?

Senator-Ahmed-Zanna-

Last week, the Joint Task Force (JTF) in Borno State of Nigeria reported that it had arrested a top henchman of the terrorist network, Boko Haram. According to the JTF, the man was arrested in the house of a serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Now, there are only three serving Senators in Borno State, namely: Senator Maina Ma’aji Lawan of the All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP), Senator Ahmed Khalifa Zanna of the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, also of the PDP.
Shortly after the JTF announcement, Senator Zanna of the PDP swiftly absolved himself, stating that the Boko Haram hatchet man was not arrested in his house, although he acknowledged in news reports that the man was his nephew, a son of his Sister. The Senator later alleged that the man was arrested in the house of the former governor of the State, Ali Modu Sheriff. It should also be recalled that Senator Ndume, also of the PDP had formerly been fingered by another top Boko Haram enforcer, the trial of which the federal government had consistently filibustered. And just days earlier, another serving Senator of the ANPP, and a former governor of Yobe State of Nigeria; Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim threatened that unless the Northeast geopolitical zone of the nation receive more federal allocation, the terrorist acts of the Boko Haram sect will continue in the country.
We frown seriously at these developments. Why didn’t the JTF explicitly state the residence of the Senator in which the Boko Haram’s man was apprehended? And why has the federal government maintained tacit silence on the issue? Something definitely is missing somewhere because the fact that the federal government has not ordered the arrest of the Senator in whose house the arrest took place speaks volume. It indicates that the PDP led federal government is either deliberately shielding the sponsors of the terrorist network or is actively involved in the network itself. And it equally reveals that the former National Security Adviser (NSA) to the federal government, General Azazi may perhaps be right when he clearly stated that the ruling PDP has a hand in the Boko Haram terrorist network.
We therefore call on the JTF to immediately release the name of the Senator in whose house the Boko Haram henchman was arrested, and we demand the Jonathan Administration to muster the political will and do the needful by arresting without delay the Senator in question, including Senator Bukar Ibrahim and all those who have openly expressed support for the acts of the terrorist sect.
