Husband and wife, both principal officers with Lagos govt die in auto crash

Tragedy struck the Lagos State Government Civil Service as it lost two of its principal officers to road crash during the weekend.
The accident which occurred at Ogere axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun State claimed the lives of a couple Mr. and Mrs. Rotimi Olugbuyi and Mrs. Toyin Olugbuyi while they were returning to their Mowe resident after attending a wedding ceremony in Ibadan.
The couples until their death were staff of the Lagos State Civil Service. It was gathered that while the husband Rotimi was a Public Relations Officer from the Lagos State Ministry of Information attached to Lagos State Scholarship Board, the wife Toyin was a Public Relations Officer attached to the Lagos State judicial Commission.
Eye witness account revealed that the car which was driven by Mr. Rotimi had a burst tyre on motion and skidded off from the their own lane to the other side of the road where a trailer which was on a high speed heading towards Ibadan rammed into them, crushing the car and the occupants.
Their body which was allegedly crushed to pieces was taken to the Ogere office of the Federal Road Safety Corp where contact was made to their relatives.
The couple who had been married for 13 years without a child was however buried amidst tears in their Mowe resident on Sunday in the same grave.
Their remains were said to have been packed together as their body was crushed into pieces.
Colleagues from Lagos State Secretariat who were present at the burial described the couple as very nice, loving, caring and dedicated workers.
A source who pleaded for anonymity said the wife Toyin was however three months pregnant before the unfortunate incident.
