At least three people lost their lives yesterday while 14 others were
seriously injured in an accident at the Lagos end of the Lagos- Ibadan
Expressway.
This came a few hours after three people died while seven
others were wounded at Kara market area of Ibafo on the expressway.
The accident, which occurred at Toll Gate/Con Oil Filling Station
area of the expressway about 5:36a.m., involved an LT commercial bus
with registration number KRD 326 XG and an articulated truck, without a
registration number. One of the emergency responders told our
correspondent that his agency received an alert via the 767/112
emergency numbers of Lagos State Emergency Response Team (ERT).
This, according to him, prompted immediate activation of the ERT of
the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Lagos State
Ambulance Services (LASEMBUS), Lagos State Fire Service, police, Lagos
State Transport Management Authority (LASTMA) and the Federal Road
Safety Commission (FRSC) to the scene of the accident.https://newtelegraphonline.com/three-die-14-injured-lagos-ibadan-expressway-auto-crash/
