The victim’s father, Adegboyega Olugbogi, said that it was a normal routine for his son to go to the pastor’s house to play.
Adegboyega said: "The grandmother was still preparing his tea and bread when he saw the pastor's children and ran after them to play. We waited endlessly for him to return him and finished his food, but he didn’t. When we got tired of waiting for him, we went to the church to look for him. When we got to the church, they said Enoch had not been seen. We searched the whole community for him, but couldn't find him. We reported the matter to Ijanikin Police Station for further assistant."
The distraught mother, Mrs. Omotolani Olugbogi, who spoke with our correspondent, said: "When we were searching the community for him, someone told us that he saw Enoch with a woman. The person said that he thought the woman was my friend, thus she didn’t bother to ask her questions.
"Immediately he woke up that fateful day, he went straight to my grandmother’s house and told her he wanted bread with tea. They were preparing his food when he saw the pastor's children and ran after them."
Omotolani said that there had never been any case of child abduction in the community before.
She added: “I’m appealing to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police Mr. Edgal Imohimi to assist us find our son.”
When the Lagos State Police Public Relations (PPRO) SP Chike Oti was contacted, he promised to get back to our correspondent, but as at press time, he was yet to do so.
