Landlord whips tenant's bare bottom for not paying rent

A landlord whipped a tenant with a belt after the tenant fell behind on his rent. On Feb. 21, ABC News reported that 53-year-old Ron Kronenberger has been charged with assault after whipping the 29-year-old tenant on his "bare bottom."
According to the report, the tenant was nearly $3,000.00 behind on his rent. He threatened the tenant and told him that he was going to "treat him like a child" because he was "acting like one." The tenant told police that he was scared of his landlord so he just allowed him to whip him to "get it over with."
The landlord whipped the tenant four times leaving "little marks" on the tenants rear end. It is unclear where this happened or what possessed Kronenberger to act in such a way, but details are expected to be revealed in an Ohio court later today. It is unknown how steep the landlord's punishment could be.
What is interesting is that the landlord was actually pretty well-known in the community and he was a good guy -- at least, he used to be. "Kronenberger is a former chamber of commerce president who was Waynesville's 'Citizen of the Year' for 2006," ABC News reported. Of course people change and some have underlying issues that can make them act out.
The landlord who whipped the tenant could find himself fined and without future tenants.
