Police recover fresh human head from man in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command yesterday arrested a man in possession of suspected human skull.

The suspect, Mustapha Bakare, 38, was said to have been arrested at the Orile area of Ajegunle, by Anti-Robbery Policemen, attached to the Orile Police Station.

Confirming the arrest of the suspect, police spokesperson, Gnosis Braide, said the police team which arrested the suspect was led by Inspector Bernard Oyinlade, while they were conducting a ‘Stop and Search’ duty along near white sand area of Orile.

She added: “While the team was on duty at White sand area of Orile, a man of about38-year-old, later known as Mustapha Bakare of 63B Church Street, Ijora Badia was sighted with a polythene bag. The team suspected him and immediately called for a search. He immediately took to his heels and was pursued. He arrested and during search of his bag, a fresh suspected human skull was found. The suspect was arrested and undergoing interrogation. He’ll be transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) Panti, for further investigations.”
