10 die, property worth millions lost in Ibadan inferno
One of the 11 severely-burnt victims of a fire incident that occurred under the Molete Bridge, Ibadan on Saturday, where a fuel-laden articulated vehicle fell, was an eight year-old girl, New Telegraph confirmed Sunday.
While about 10 people were reported to have died, 45 shops, 13 vehicles, three houses, seven commercial motorcycles, three commercial tricycles and goods worth millions of naira were equally destroyed in the inferno.

Most of the people that died in the fire according to investigation were roadside traders who refused to vacate road side and move to modern markets built by the government as directed.
When New Telegraph visited the scene Sundday morning, the police and other security agencies in large numbers were seen working to restore order in the area, while men of the Oyo State Fire Service Department were trying to evacuate the fallen tanker and other vehicles affected in the inferno.
