Addressing journalists yesterday, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni, described as shocking, the manner in which the two men carried out their robbery operation and attack on the lady.
The police boss said the suspects, graduates of Delta State and Gateway Polytechnic, stabbed the lady while attempting to rob her. And while she was writhing in pain and all bloodied up, they each raped her twice and later robbed her. “The lady was stabbed by the suspects and after that, they still went ahead to rape her. The suspects had been arrested.
We have positive evidence against them and they have also confessed to the crime. They will soon be charged to court. The victim is doing well,” Owoseni said. The commissioner explained that the suspects were arrested while attempting to sell some of the valuables carted away from the lady’s apartment. Orji, 25, said he graduated in 2012. He said he and Pedro had been friends for over eight years.
