Nine prospective candidates in the on going recruitment exercise into
the Nigerian Police Force, have been arrested by the Enugu State Police
Command for alleged certificate forgery.
In a press statement in Enugu Tuesday by the Command’s public
Relations officer (PPRO), DSP Ebere Amaraizu, the Command said the
Commissioner of Police in charge of the recruitment in the state, CP
Peter Ogunyanwo, warned candidates in the exercise to desist from
falsification of documents.
According to the statement, other issues noticed during the exercise,
included alteration of first school leaving certificate, false
declarations of age, birth certificates, which he said are criminal in
nature.
Those nabbed are now helping the operatives of the State Criminal
Intelligence and Investigations Department, Enugu State in their
