Let PDP provide evidence of our link with Boko Haram —APC

The  All Progressives Congress (APC), on Friday, challenged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to provide evidence of its link with the Boko Haram insurgency or stop making such an allegation.
Apparently exasperated with the constant link with the insurgency, the APC spokesperson, Lai Mohammed, in a statement in Lagos, cried out, ‘’We have absolutely no hand in this insurgency, and we dare anyone with contrary information to publish such today. It is trite that he who alleges must prove.

Secondary school boy stabs mate over girl friend squabble

There was pandemoniun on  Wednesday, in Ikirun, Osun State when a student of Holy Michael Secondary School stabbed his friend with a broken bottle  during a clash over a girlfriend who is  a junior secondary school student.
Saturday Tribune  gathered that the boy, who stabbed his friend, was one of the students from Akinorun Grammar School, Ikirun, who were  merged with mission school as a result of the school reclassification programme by the state government.

THE arrest of a terrorist who claimed to be a Cameroonian and an arms courier for the dreaded Boko Haram sect has led to the discovery of a large cache of arms and ammunition hidden on the premises of a burnt church in Borno State.

The weapons, which have now been recovered by troops, include anti-aircraft guns, Rocket-Propelled Grenades (RPGs) as well as General-Purpose and other brands of machine guns. They were found buried in the premises of one of the churches earlier burnt by terrorists in Kalabalge Local Government Area of Borno State.

A woman who was scarred for life in an acid attack has spoken of her agony today after her student attacker was jailed for 12 years.
Victoria's Secret worker Naomi Oni, 22, suffered serious burns to her face and chest after her friend, Mary Konye, 22, disguised herself in a niqab to carry out the attack in Dagenham, east london, on December 30 2012.
