The couple who sold their twin babies for N200,000 each
recently in Asaba, Delta State, have been arraigned in a Chief
Magistrate’s court in Asaba.
The accused, Augustine Agbona and his wife, Ebere, appeared in court on Wednesday, as further hearing had been adjourned to May 16.
No person showed up in court to bail the couple and as such, the husband was remanded at the Ogwashi-uku prison, while his wife was taken to Agbor prison.
Four other accused persons, including the masterminds and buyers of the children, were, however, granted bail.
They were arrested last weekend by the Asaba community policing.
