Three assassins nailed attempting to kill business mogul

Three assassins who were hired by a man to snuff out the life of his business partner have been arrested.

The alleged professional killers, identified as Ibrahim Lawal, 27, Emmanuel Adewale, 25, and Yomi Olarewaju, 25, said they were paid justN140, 000 as mobilisation fee to assassinate one Mr. Ade Victor.

According to the suspects, the contract was given to them by one Adebayo Orekoya, alias Bobby Ibadan of Iyagangku area of Ibadan, who incidentally is the business partner of Victor.

The said Victor resides at the GRA area of Ogundu, Lagos and preliminary investigation revealed that he is a former business partner with Orekoya.

A police source said that the two partners had a fall out.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko explained that on May, 2014, he received information that some hired assassins, sent from Ibadan were at Pekkas Night Club Allen Avenue, preparatory  to carry out the killing of an unknown person.

He immediately directed the officer in charge of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos Command, SP. Abba Kyarri, to storm the area and arrest the suspects

Kyarri led two SARS decoy teams to the club, where the suspects were arrested.

He added: “Their driver, one Samuel escaped with their Sienna Space bus.”

According to Manko: “During interrogation, they confessed to have been paid N140, 000 moblisation fee for logistics by one Adebayo Orekoya. The sum of N100, 000, part of the mobilisation money as well as the victim’s photograph given to them by Adebayo who is now at large, have been recovered. All suspects have made confessional statements and investigation continues.”
